Off to Hong Kong !

Good morning friends.

Here's another set of custom made wedding dolls for a very special customer from Hong Kong. At first I was worried about delivering dolls to overseas due to the high postage fees here in Malaysia. Anyway, I've decided to give it a try. Everything has to start somewhere and there's always a first time.

This custom made order is for a Wedding Bunny Bride with a Cat Groom. Throughout the whole process, I kept in touch with my customer... adjusting the design when necessary. And in the end, the finished dolls are just perfect for the lovely couple.

Now, they're on their way to Hong Kong. I do hope the dolls will arrive safe and sound for their Big day and the owner will be very happy to meet them. Looking forward for a wedding photo from Hong Kong soon.

Minions Ever After

The Minion craze is still around... even though the screening of the movie is over. The free Minion toys in McDonald's Happy Meal has sold out within hours. People lining up as early as 9pm just to get a chance to purchase these toys (opens at12am).

 

I have to say...honestly... these little yellow guys are really CUTE ! If I'm not mistaken, they have different versions of minions sold around the world. These guys are even more popular than the previous Hello Kitty craze.

I am sad to say that I didn't even get a chance to get even 1pc of these cuties. My kids were upset.  Happy Meal isn't happy anymore. So... I had decided to crochet my own. 

Here's my version of the minions. It turns out that many of my FB friends like them too and orders were pouring in for these guys. Just finished a couple of batches for delivery. Phew.... :)

Next... I'm going to try my hands at making another version. This...

Amigurumi Doll

Good morning friends.Let me show you this doll that I had custom made for a friend. My friend Iris requested that I make a doll for Pauline's son Troy. Troy loves his duckie blanket. Our friend Pauline is currently living in Alaska.

Well... I have to admit that this is a great challenge. Well.... it took me quite some time to get the doll done. I posted it to Iris and she posted it to Pauline. I'm so excited to know their reaction. She received the doll a few days ago and they loved it !

Here's a look at the doll that I had completed. Took me some time to finish his hair.

Here's Troy doll with his favourite Duckie blanket. Hehehe... I do like the duckie face.

Thanks Iris for the great idea and challenge. Thanks Pauline and Troy for loving my work. Really made my day. Gives me the encouragement to continue on.

Wedding Bunny Gift Set

A very good morning. Just to share with you today a gift set that I made for a dear friend. It's the Wedding Bunny Couple pattern. Added a few decorations for a warm and romantic feeling.

Here's a shot of the background. This present paper has a 'wedding' feeling. Maybe it's the ribbon, laces and roses. I pasted it on a hard cardboard, and then glued it to the plastic transparent box.

Then another piece of cardboard for the base, I saw this cute miniature white carriage at a gift shop that I just had to get it. Added a lace ribbon and it's just perfect. Put everything together and it's just like a fairytale wedding. I hope the lovely couple will love it.

MIni Minion

Morning friends. Just finished this cute little guy yesterday night. I just love doing mini things and so this cute Mini Minion is born. Add a keychain ring and he will be on his way to guard your keys. Here's a few more shots that of him. Enjoy !

Hi there. Been distracted lately by my kids as school holidays are here and the whole house is like havoc. Browsed through the internet lately and I came across some vintage patterns which is really beautiful. Here's a Sunbonet Sue pattern that people used to crochet as a broom holder or pot holders. I made it into a keyholder. Really fits my bunch of house keys perfectly.

Just finished my Mickey Mouse pattern today ! This pattern is about 8.5 inches tall and is my largest crochet toy. I usually prefer to make smaller and mini crochet and this pattern in really a challenge. Taken me 4 days to complete. I inserted craft wire to his hands and feet so it's bendable. Quite tricky I must say. Love it! Maybe I'll make a Minnie Mouse.
